This is not a newly founded society but continuation of former tradition of the labour cultural-artistic society “Mladi metalac”. “Mladi metalac”was founded in 1953 and had a rich cultural and entertaining programme while it existed. It was well known for its successes not only in former Yugoslavia but in many other countries. Lots of enviabloe results were attained at all levels of competing. This society also took part in the XIV Winter Olimpic Games (ZOI 84), Sarajevo, in 1984.

The only thing that is changed now is the name of the society. –The Cultural-Artistic Society “Igman”. All members are trying really hard to get the work at the earliest level of success. There are seventy active members and they work four section. Most of them are in the folk dance section but Kulturno-umjetničko društvo „Igman“there is also the drama, the musical section and the spiritual music chorus. In the future, we are planning to establish literary, art section and in that way extend the range of activities. In very short time the society held the series of independent concerts and for the first time took part in the traditional assembly of folk dance in Vogošca.
